Privacy
GRIP is a read-only product. You can search locations and read reports without creating an account or signing in.
GRIP uses Vercel Analytics to understand basic site usage, such as page views, country, device type, and browser. This helps us see whether the product is working and where people run into issues. GRIP does not use analytics to build advertising profiles. See Vercel's privacy documentation for details.
GRIP is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may retain standard server logs such as IP address, request path, and timestamp for security and operations. GRIP does not use those logs to identify individual users.
GRIP does not set tracking cookies for advertising or personalization. Vercel Analytics may use limited session data to avoid double-counting page views. No personal information is stored in your browser.
GRIP's reports are compiled from public land manager sources such as NPS, USFS, BLM, and state park agencies. That report data is about public land rules, not about individual users. Searching a location does not store or transmit that search to any third party.
Questions about privacy or data use can be directed via the contact page.
